Government of West Bengal has apporved (G.O. No. 9176-F(P) dated- 15/09/2010) the demand of University Technical Assistants' Association of West Bengal to change the pay structure of Techinal Assistants working on different state-aided universities of West Bengal. The new revised pay structure for the base post, Technical Assistant (Grade II) from now will be at PB-3 (Rs. 9000 - 28,300 /- with Grade Pay Rs. 4400/-). The pay scale for the promotinal posts also have been changed. The Sub-Assistant Engineers and Assistant Librarians posted in different State-Aided Universities also get benifits from this order.

It has been a long awaited demand for the Technical Assistants. It is a great achivement for the association. This will certainly being a new fresh air to the motivation of this association.
